Alfa Romeo Giulietta Road Test - Sunday Mercury

Alfa-Romeo-Giulietta-Sunday-Mercury.jpg

The Sunday Mercury have published a review of the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta. 'The all new Giulietta is reborn as a mid-size family runabout - with the distinctively stylish Alfa flourish. All models offer the sporty performance you would expect from the Italian marque but this top-of-the-range Cloverleaf is a real flier that will give all but the hottest of hot hatches a run for their money. The turbocharged 1750 TBi petrol power unit generates 235bhp and will get you from 0-62mph in 6.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 150mph - numbers which put the Cloverleaf firmly in the performance bracket.'

Alfa Romeo MiTo Review - The Truth About Cars

Alfa-Romeo-MiTo-TheTruthAboutCars.jpg

The Truth About Cars have published their review of the Alfa Romeo MiTo. 'Enter the Alfa Romeo MiTo, which along with the Alfa 159 sedan is supposed to give the Germans a good run for their money, and is positioned directly against BMW's Mini Cooper. Ah, but the Mini already competes with the Fiat 500, you say. But the 500 is a mini-car, significantly undercutting the Cooper in size and price. The MiTo is bigger than the Mini, but it still stickers under the matching Cooper all across Europe. Will it ever land in the US? Time will tell, as Alfa Romeo could return to North America in 2011... provided it survives its "strategic review."

Alfa Romeo MiTo MultiAir - LeftLane

Alfa-Romeo-MiTo-MultiAir.jpg

LeftLane have published their "test driven" review of the Alfa Romeo MiTo MultiAir. 'Launched in three versions, the petrol-powered MultiAir MiTos range from a 103 horsepower non-turbo base model to a 133 horsepower turbo and the range-topping Quadrifoglio Verde (green cloverleaf) with 167 horsepower. While we had no chance to drive the base engine, both the turbos proved themselves to be smooth, sweet and incredibly, deceptively strong at low engine speeds. The expected big seller of the family, the 133-pony, 1.4-liter turbo is so strong that Alfa has done away with the six-speed gearbox from the existing MiTo and replaced it with a five-speed unit.'

Alfa Mito Review - The Independent

The Independent have published a review of the Alfa Mito. 'The £16,000 MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde is the best showcase: its engine proving powerful, smooth, sonorous and satisfying. It seems to do all that is promised of it - enjoyment enhanced in this top model by a slick six-speed gearbox plus adaptive damping which has the effect of sharpening the MiTo's usually rather rubbery responses, making the steering feel more natural and improving the ride over ridges. Bigger wheels and cloverleaf badges in green faux-carbonfibre complete the picture.'
