2010-Lincoln-MKZ-The-Truth-About-Cars.jpg

The Truth About Cars have published a review of the 2010 Lincoln MKZ . 'The MKZ spent one year as the Zephyr, and received a more thorough revision for 2010. Both the grille--Lincoln's current twin waterfall--and the tail lamps have gotten larger, in the current fashion. Unlike with the Fusion's tri-bar, the supersizing doesn't hurt. But the grille does nothing for the side view, from which the MKZ, though handsome, appears much less distinctive. Even with bespoke sheetmetal fore and aft of the doors, the midsize Lincoln sedan doesn't look even as different from the Fusion as the ES does from the Camry. The money for dedicated fenders was not well spent--this is the way GM used to do it. If you're going to spring for unique metal, spend a little more to alter the basic shape.'

Hennessey-MaxBoost-435-Lincoln-MKS-Jalopnik.jpg

Jalopnik have published their "First Drive" review of the Hennessey MaxBoost 435 Lincoln MKS. 'The Lincoln MKS is Ford's latest luxury flagship, outfitted with a comfortable interior and designed for easy and refined power from its not-really-optional 355 HP twin-turbo EcoBoost V6. It's already a lot of power for the LBJ-sized Lincoln. Hennessey takes it one step further, squeezing out 435 HP and 405 lb-ft of torque by helping the turbos breathe better and some basic tuning. Other than CORSA stainless steel catback exhaust out back, the polished intercooler piping and giant cold air intake there's not much to differentiate this from the stock MKS. Actually, the best visual upgrade is ditching the big Lincoln's awful plastic engine cover.'

The USA TODAY have published their review of the 2010 Lincoln MKT crossover SUV. 'MKT steering, brakes and shifting are all responsive and not soggy the way Lincolns' of yore often were. Interior appointments -- elegant u2010 Lincoln MKT Test Drivepholstery, authentic wood trim, harmonized dashboard lighting, general ambience -- went together, finally, to craft a distinct personality, something that suggests it could be worthwhile to pay extra for the Lincoln. "Best interior we've ever done at Lincoln," asserts Frank Davis, executive director of product development for Ford Motor. Gripe: The third-row seat has a lot less headroom than the Flex does, because of the tucked and tightened rear styling, vs. Flex's box shape.'

CNET have published their review of the 2010 Lincoln MKT SUV. 'This next generation Lincoln certainly makes its mark in style. The wing-shaped grilles, first seen on the MKS sedan, take on ridiculous proportions on the front of the MKT. These large grills thoroughly ventilate the engine while sucking in sparrows and other small birds. But the rear of the MKT is even more striking, a big slab of back-end cut across by the tail light jewelry, with a minimal rear window evocative of 1940s touring cars. The rear visibility is limited, although a rearview camera prevents it from being unsafe. We just wish the style of the rear went with the rest of the vehicle.'

Lincoln MKT Review - The Truth About Cars

Lincoln-MKT-TheTruthAboutCars.jpg

The Truth About Cars have published their review of the Lincoln MKT. 'The MKT's cabin is awash in the luxury hallmarks of others: Lexus-like soft curves, Acura's swoopy slabs of wood and an awkward Volvo-homage from the (inelegant) negative area behind the center stack. The flimsy wheel-mounted shift paddles are laughable, but the center console's armrest sits higher than their door-mounted counterparts: FAIL. The steering wheels' misaligned wood grain inlay is a sad cost cutting measure (ironically) not found on the earlier, badge engineered, Lincoln MK-Zephyr: a proper hunk of oak on the wheel is mandatory at this price point.'

2009-Lincoln-MKT-AWD-EcoBoost.jpg

The Truth About Cars have published their review of the 2009 Lincoln MKT AWD EcoBoost. 'The MKT's grill is so unrelentingly grotesque it's easy to overlook the fact that the crossover's hind quarters are equally--if less aggressively--hideous. For anyone who appreciates well-sculpted sheet metal and artful illumination, the MKT's butt is an abomination. The enormous red strip bisecting the back end at nipple height is a distorted echo of an over-sized Ford Thunderbird logo pasted onto an homage to the Acura RL's ungainly reverse snow plow motif. Adding insult to aesthetic injury, the MKT's back-up lights are in exactly the wrong place (dead center).'

LeftLane have published a review of the 2010 Lincoln MKT crossover SUV. 'At first glance, the Lincoln features the unmistakable split-wing grill that adorns the face of several new Lincoln vehicles, but offers its own unique twist that flows into the HID headlamps. The side profile of the MKT certainly features more curves, with a higher, more sophisticated belt line than the Flex, and it wraps around to a very unique and yet again polarizing rear-end. Unlike the Flex, which features an essentially purely vertical lift gate, the MKT features a strongly sloped, tall lift gate with a large rear reflector that spans the entire width of the vehicle, much like the MKZ. The modern and retro-inspired Lincoln design cues are endless, though the overall look isn't quite as cohesive as its MKS and MKZ stablemates.'
