- Two Popular Food Trucks, The Grilled Cheese Truck and Coolhaus Truck, Debut New Nissan NV-based Versions During Los Angeles Auto Show Press Days -

Innovation, as practiced by Nissan's creative design, engineering and product development teams can take many forms - from the recently introduced "most room for the dollar" Nissan Versa Sedan to the all-new category defining Nissan NV van, Nissan's first entry into the commercial vehicle segment in North America. Innovation, as they will remind you, takes a willingness to take risks, to think outside the category, and to mix together combinations of features and functions that might not have been thought of before.

2012 Nissan Leaf Road Test - Montreal Gazette

2012-Nissan-Leaf-Montreal-Gazette.jpg

The Montreal Gazette have published a review of the 2012 Nissan Leaf. 'The Leaf is about the same size as Nissan's own Versa (though it weighs almost 300 kilograms more) and uses Versa-derived suspension bits, so it's hardly surprising if its comportment is similar to the compact (the Volt, by the way, is similarly based on Chevy's Cruze, so it, too, rides like a compact sedan). The ride is on the harsh side of firm but not destructively so, and the handling is surprisingly agile because the 300 or so kilograms of lithium-polymer battery are built into the cabin floor, lowering the centre of gravity.'

2011 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet Review - CNET

2011-Nissan-Murano-CrossCabriolet-CNET.jpg

CNET have published a review of the 2011 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet. 'The Murano CrossCabriolet does count as a new type of vehicle, a crossover with a convertible top. As such, you can ride with the top down while sitting up high. It's kind of like sitting in an open-top double-decker bus. All the Murano CrossCabriolet needs is a tour guide, pointing out local sights while delivering a spiel through a scratchy microphone The biggest design problem with the Murano CrossCabriolet comes from changing a hatchback crossover to a convertible. Losing the hatchback means instituting a trunk, a place into which the convertible top can fold. Without the hatchback, the Murano CrossCabriolet ends up looking like a very fat coupe.'

2012 Nissan Versa Road Test - Auto News

2012-Nissan-Versa-Auto-News.jpg

Auto News have published a review of the 2012 Nissan Versa sedan. 'Aside from its funky nav system graphics and interface, the Versa's interior is hard to complain about. OK, the seat bottoms are a little short for full-size Americans and there's no armrest between the front seats, which is also a problem in our long-term Juke. But that's it. Otherwise, the inside of the Versa is a fine place to spend time. Nissan has put some sweat into the details, even including height adjustment on the driver seat. And the materials, while nothing you'd see in a Bentley, are impressive at this price point. Fit and finish is at typically high Nissan standards, and the rear seat is huuuuuuuuuuge. The Versa's rear headroom and legroom would be impressive at any price. In fact, it offers more rear legroom than a BMW 5 Series, Lexus LS 460 and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Nissan 370Z Touring Review - The Truth About Cars

Nissan-370Z-Touring-TheTruthAboutCars.jpg

The Truth About Cars have published a review of the Nissan 370Z Touring. 'The Z's driver seat is comfortable, but a little short on lateral support. The Infiniti G37's power-adjustable bolsters would be welcome here. The view forward from the low seats includes a fair amount of hood. The view rearward is nearly nonexistent, between the wide C-pillars and mail slot of a rear window. Even with a rearview camera backing out of parking spaces proves a dicey proposition. The cargo area under the rear part of the hatch is barely tall enough to hold an upright gallon of milk, which can be counted on to slide around all the way home unless restrained by a cargo net (not provided with the tested car).'

2011 Nissan Versa SL Review - The Garage Blog

By Admin on March 13, 2011 3:03 PM | No Comments

2011-Nissan-Versa-SL-TheGarageBlog.jpg

The Garage Blog have published a review of the 2011 Nissan Versa SL. 'Style-wise, the Versa sports a clean, smart appearance. Our top-spec 1.8 SL hatchback with the Premium Package was dressed up with 16″ alloy wheels, rear spoiler, fog lights and side sills for a slightly upscale look. Some see some of Renault's influence on the hatchback version of the Versa, which I think is a bit of a stretch, but our test car presented itself well, if not exactly memorable. While the Versa doesn't offend at all, before you start howling that the car is on the bland side, allow me to remind you the Versa-based cube is anything but bland. Inside, the Versa provides a well built, roomy, quality cabin. All controls are simple and straightforward, and if there is any complaint, it is a lack of style or design detail. The enormous swath of plastic the front seat passenger faces is a bit dreary.'

Nissan Navara ST-X Review - Car Advice

By Admin on March 3, 2011 1:06 AM | No Comments

Nissan-Navara-ST-X-Car-Advice.jpg

A review of the Nissan Navara ST-X has been posted over at Car Advice. 'There are two powerplants available for those considering a Nissan Navara ST-X Dual Cab. A 4.0-litre V6 petrol engine or a 2.5-litre turbodiesel. Frankly, it's hard to make a strong case for the petrol model. Sure it has more power (198kW compared to 140kW for the diesel) but it has less torque (385Nm at 4000rpm compared to 450Nm at 2000rpm) and uses a truckload more fuel (13.6L/100km compared to 8.5L/100km). It also happens to miss out on vehicle dynamic control (VDC) and an active-brake limited-slip differential (ABLS) - features available on the diesel model. 90 percent of all Navara sales are diesel, so we decided to test the diesel variant instead.'

Nissan Leaf Road Test - Honest John

Nissan-Leaf-Honest-John.jpg

Honest John have published a review of the Nissan Leaf electric car. 'From our previous drives, we know what to expect from the Leaf: it's quirky without being an oddball, packed with kit and does a reasonable job of seating five in comfort. From the moment you sit behind the wheel, it's undaunting with familiar controls and the minimum of fuss. On the road it's fun, has an impressive turn of speed and is quiet to drive. And as all the power is available from the second you press the throttle, it also feels substantially more powerful than similar-size diesels, not to mention the Toyota Prius, which it primarily competes with. Plus you can re-charge from a conventional three-pin socket that you can find in any home.'
